Paula Mancuso

Position:Yoga Teacher
Experience:Practicing since 2003 Teaching since 2023
Biography:
Hello I’m Paula. My first yoga class was at the Wyckoff YMCA in 2003. Immediately I felt a happy mind and body connection and every week I looked forward to bringing both my daughters to the tot drop while I would take class. Through time I became a regular practicing yogi. Although hatha yoga was my first class I was introduced to, I gradually learned to like hot yoga, vinyasa and Bikram as well. Practicing vinyasa and love for restorative yoga allows me to feel grounded and I value the importance to appreciate what relaxation and rest means for the body. I think that creating your own space on the mat allows you to slow down each day and navigate the goodness of what yoga provides through self love and awareness. In 2023 I received my Yoga Alliance 200 hour teacher training at Flow Yoga In Hohokus, NJ. After completing I became a karma yogi and volunteered at the studio where I got to know the set up of classes, workshops and students of the community. In June 2023, I started working as a chair yoga teacher at The Bristal Assisted Living in Waldwick. It really humbles me to help assist the seniors with their strength and mobility and seeing their smiles each time always inspires me. I have been a NJ licensed esthetician since 2007. Through my experience I have learned how the connection between facial, shoulder, arm, and hand muscles aligns with the principles of yoga. With my joy for yoga, I look forward to broadening my skills as I am so passionate about sharing the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga with others and willingness to continue learning and growing as a yoga teacher.
