NEW CLASS!

A Vinyasa style class, poses are sequenced to create a seamless transition of the body from one posture to the next. Props and modifications are offered and encouraged in order for each student to access the posture in proper alignment to create a safe and enjoyable practice. This class is open to all levels and will give students room to progress in their individual practice.

Barbara Bell, artist and yoga teacher.

Barbara's first exposure to yoga was in college, when she took a class to fulfill a Phys. Ed requirement. She had no idea this one credit class would become a major theme in her life. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for the Hatha Yoga practice with students, emphasizing proper alignment, the physiological effects of the practice, and how to work with the breath. The ancient phrase, ‘the pose will appear when the student is ready’, describes her teaching philosophy. With consistent practice, proper engagement and intention, students find themselves progressing to where they need to be, and discover new skills, greater confidence, and a peaceful state of mind. Vinyasa Flow and Slow Flow/Restorative (moving with careful intention, and engaging the breath and bandhas which create internal heat and energy flow) are her favorite ways to approach the physical practice. She has been practicing for more than 40 years and teaching since 2010. Teaching mixed level classes has become a specialty, all students are encouraged to enjoy their practice, and be open to discover how yoga can impact many areas of their lives.”
