Candlelight Restorative Yin

A Friday Night Reset

Breathe, Relax and Renew!

This class combines two unwinding, body opening and delicious practices: Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga. Both styles move at your own pace, use props adjusted to your range and create slow release with awareness. Heather will guide you through a series of seated and reclined postures, using bolsters, blankets, and blocks for support and release. As you settle into each pose, you’ll be encouraged to focus on your breath, quiet your mind, and allow your body to surrender.

The Yin part of the practice is designed to target the deeper tissues of the body, such as the connective tissues, and to promote the slow unfolding of tension. Yin uses the meridians and Traditional Chinese Medicine to connect energetically. While the Restorative Yoga facilitates full body relaxation and evenness to connect body, mind and spirit together activating the parasympathetic “rest and digest” response. Together they are the perfect antidote to stress, fatigue, and tension. Suitable for students of all levels, including beginners.

What to Expect:
A softly lit, serene space to help you slow down and let your week float away.
Supportive props to encourage deep relaxation in each pose
A gentle guide who honors each student’s uniqueness and  nurtures a safe environment.

Allow yourself to pause, soften, and restore in this tranquil Friday night practice. Leave feeling refreshed, grounded, and ready to embrace the weekend with ease. Come and indulge in some much-needed self-care. Let go of tension, breathe deeply, and allow yourself to melt into relaxation. Your body, mind, and spirit will thank you.

Heather creates a safe environment for all in her yoga classes.

Hi I’m Heather :) My yoga journey deepened in January 2021 when I attended my first yoga retreat. Amidst a challenging time with my mental health, I felt lost and uncertain about my path forward. But during the retreat, I discovered the transformative power of yogic principles. I was hooked and knew this was going to be an important facet of my life. As I nurtured my mind, body, and spirit, I gained clarity and a renewed sense of purpose. In June of 2023 I attended Powerflow School of Yoga and received my 200 hour teaching certificate. Once I began teaching I quickly realized that Yin yoga was where I belonged. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that yoga is, indeed, for everyone. I celebrate the anatomical uniqueness of each individual, recognizing that every “body” is deserving of respect. In my classes, I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where students feel encouraged to explore, learn, and grow. Through thoughtful sequencing, mindful alignment, and compassionate guidance, I aim to empower students to connect with their inner selves, cultivating a deeper sense of calm, clarity, and confidence. My hope is that you'll leave my class feeling inspired, educated, and equipped with practical tools to enhance your overall well-being – both on and off the mat. When I’m not teaching I enjoy spending time with my husband Chris and Chiweenie Zoey. Travel and food are two of my favorite passions along with hiking and kayaking, if it’s near the water I wanna be there!
