Chi Yoga Flow

Move, Breathe, and Flow

Chi Yoga Flow is a graceful fusion of Tai Chi and Yoga, designed to cultivate balance, flexibility, and mindful movement. This all-levels class seamlessly blends the fluid, meditative motions of Tai Chi with the strength, grounding, and deep stretches of Yoga, creating a practice that is both energizing and restorative.

🌿 What to Expect:
✨ Gentle, flowing sequences to enhance mobility and release tension
✨ Tai Chi-inspired movements to improve coordination, balance, and energy flow
✨ Yoga postures & deep stretches to build strength and flexibility
✨ Breathwork & mindfulness to calm the nervous system and increase awareness
✨ Slow, intentional transitions that promote ease and relaxation

Tai Chi alignment emphasizes relaxed, rooted posture, mindful movement, and energy flow, which can enhance a yoga practice by improving balance, body awareness, and breath control. Its focus on spinal alignment, joint relaxation, and weight shifting supports fluid transitions between yoga poses while reducing tension and the risk of injury.

Additionally, Tai Chi’s emphasis on cultivating internal energy (Qi) complements yoga’s pranic practices, deepening the meditative and energetic aspects of both disciplines.

This class is perfect for all levels, whether you’re a beginner looking for a gentle, approachable practice, or an experienced student wanting to explore new ways to move and connect with breath. Some prior experience of yoga or tai chi is helpful but not necessary.

Come breathe, stretch, and move with ease in a welcoming and supportive space. ✨

Ina Cabrera balancing yoga and Tai Chi in a Chi yoga flow class

Ina took her first yoga class in 1991—her second, ten years later. Over time, her practice became more frequent as she discovered just how transformative yoga can be. In 2015, she became a certified yoga teacher at Beyoga in Pequannock. She has also trained with Meghan’s Foundation’s Yoga for Veterans, specializing in yoga for individuals experiencing PTSD. In addition to yoga, Ina has been practicing the Tai Chi Cheng Man Ching 37-posture form, sword form, and fencing since 2014. She has been teaching Qigong and Tai Chi form since 2017. Her core teachers are Jody Rubel of Mad Monk Tai Chi and Richard Iannuzzi of Long River Tai Chi Circle. She has also studied under Peter Wayne, Ph.D., founder of the Tree of Life Tai Chi Center, an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and Research Director of the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine. He is also the author of The Harvard Medical School Guide to Tai Chi. Ina is also a Reiki Master and has been practicing Reiki since 2017. Beyond movement and healing arts, she expresses her creativity through music—playing electric bass, singing, and writing original songs with her partner, Jody, in their band. Ina’s classes are intuitive and creative, integrating the depth of her experience across multiple disciplines. She responds to the needs of her students, cultivating a space where they feel safe and connected in their bodies. Sharing the tools that have helped her navigate life’s challenges with grace and gratitude is both a joy and a privilege.
