Ebb & Flow

Ebb & Flow: A One-Hour Movement Class

Like the rhythm of the tide, Ebb & Flow guides you through a fluid, movement journey designed to release tension, enhance flexibility, and restore balance. This one-hour class moves through three organic phases, inviting you to explore movement with ease and presence at your own ability.

Standing – We begin with gentle, wave-like motions to wake up the body, encouraging soft, rhythmic movement through the spine, shoulders, and hips. Playing with shifting weight and balance and flowing transitions help cultivate a sense of grounded freedom.

Sitting – Lowering to the floor, we explore deep hip openers, twists, and motions that invite breath-led expansion and release in the lower body. This section encourages mobility and tension relief through gentle, connected movement.

Supine – The final phase invites full surrender as we transition to lying down. Through side bends, breathing, and spinal twists, we support deep relaxation, nervous system reset, and a meditative state.

Like the ocean’s natural rhythm, Ebb & Flow invites you to move with softness, fluidity, and presence—creating space for release, renewal, and effortless movement. 🌊✨

No rigid structure—just intuitive, easeful exploration. Come as you are and move with the tide.

Seated Jennifer doing a shoulder stretch.

Jennifer began her yoga journey in 1995 when she booked a vacation to de-stress based on price and location only. She was very surprised to arrive at the Sivananda Yoga Ashram on Paradise Island in the Bahamas where guests were expected to participate in 3 hours of yoga and 2 hours of meditation each day. One week there forever changed her being and began her transformation towards flexibility. She then began a home practice. After 2 years of practicing the class she learned at the ashram she was finally able to touch her toes for the first time! Five years later she became a yoga teacher and by 2005 teaching yoga was her full time job. Jennifer enjoys sharing her practice and experience of introducing mobility and freedom into everyday movement. She encourages each student to go at their own pace, either softening or deepening by learning to listen to their own bodies. Ideally, each student will uniquely experience the class. Props are always offered, adjustments given and your input counts. She has 200 hour certifications From Integral Yoga and Yoga Synthesis. A 300 hour Certification for Advanced Yoga from Yoga Synthesis. She has also completed the Yamuna Body Rolling Certification and is a NJ licensed massage therapist.
